Our Governors
Welcome from the Chair of Governors - Amie Lovatt
I’m proud to serve as Chair of Governors at Rushton CE First School, a small, friendly village school with a strong community spirit and a welcoming, inclusive ethos. We’re proud of our Church of England foundation and our excellent OFSTED judgements.
Our vision, “Let your light shine” (Matthew 5:16), reflects the values we live by: Respect, Empathy, Aspiration, Courage and Happiness. These guide our learning, relationships and daily life.
We believe learning should be fun, purposeful and challenging. Our dedicated staff work hard to support every child, celebrating success and nurturing confidence.
As governors, we support and challenge the school to ensure high standards and a safe, happy environment. We work closely with staff, including link governors for key areas like SEND and Pupil Premium.
Since joining The Talentum Learning Trust in 2019, we’ve benefited from strong local partnerships and a seamless educational journey for our pupils.
From nursery to Year 4, children enjoy a rich curriculum including Forest School, sports, and wraparound care. Our beautiful grounds and active community make Rushton a special place to learn and grow.
If you’d like to get in touch, I’d be delighted to hear from you: alovatt@ttlt.org.uk.
